A Kendall County Publication
The Kendall Lady
Grace, grit, and the women of Kendall County.
Who is The Kendall Lady?
She is the woman behind the long table.
The Kendall Lady is the woman behind the long table — the one who set it, blessed it, and remembers everyone’s coffee order. She is the one who shows up early to the church potluck and stays late to fold the chairs. She runs the ranch, the classroom, the small business, the household, the prayer chain. Often, she runs all of them at once.
This publication exists to honor her — to set down in print what is often only said in passing, to give shape to the quiet, faithful work that holds a community together.
The Kendall Lady is not a magazine about being a woman. It is a magazine about these women: the daughters and grandmothers of Kendall County, Texas, whose lives are rooted in faith, family, hard work, and the kind of grace that doesn’t announce itself. We profile women who are living their values out loud — in their homes, their callings, their friendships, and their towns. We celebrate the makers and the mothers, the teachers and the ranchers, the founders and the faithful.
Each issue features a cover story, original reporting on the people and places of Kendall County, columns on faith and family life, and the small, well-made pleasures that turn a house into a home. It is intended to be read slowly, on the porch, with a cup of coffee that is allowed to go cold.
The Kendall Lady is a sister publication to The Kendall Gentleman, and it is a love letter to a community we are honored to call home.
